How far are you from the beach?
The Aparthotel Caracol is located inside Olas de Oro, a touristic development
located directly on the beach of Cabarete. The apartments are approximately
80 meters from the ocean, seperated only by two rows of villas. Our restaurant and bar are located at the beach club
and feature an famous oceanfront terrace and our two-level swimming pool with
waterfalls and swim-up bar for your enjoyment.
How far are you from the center of Cabarete?
The Caracol is located on Kite Bay, the west side portion of Cabarete bay, and about
4 minutes walk on the beach to the center of
town (8
minutes by the road). See a

How far are you from Kite Beach?
The hotel is situated about half way between the center of Cabarete and Kite
Beach, it's a ten minutes walk on the beach or a few minutes by moto-taxi.

Can you arrange transportation to and from the Puerto
Plata airport?
Yes, and the hotel can arrange for a taxi to wait for you at the airport
gate and bring you directly to the hotel. The cost is US20 per transfer
(max. 4 pax) and we need to know which airline you will be traveling with, what
flight number and your ETA.
What if we arrive from the Santo Domingo
airport or Santiago?
Same thing except for the price, you can calculate US100 per transfer from the
Santo Domingo Airport and US50 from the new Santiago Airport. Another
option is to take the Caribe Tours bus to Sosua and then a taxi to the hotel in
Cabarete, about 10 miles away. Caribe Tours from Santo Domingo is US10 and
from Santiago US5.
Can I receive visitors while at the hotel?
The Caracol is a family style hotel. Unregistered visitors
are not allowed after 20:00 (8PM) and the hotel reserves the right of admission.
Positively no visitors under the age of 18.
Does the hotel accept pets?
Nop!
Do you have non-smoking rooms?
Yes we do, just request it when making your reservation.
What is the exact size of the in-room
safety-box?
Our in-room safety box are 14 inches wide by 10 inches tall, and 10 inches
deep. The door of the box measures 10 inches by 7 inches.
What is your payment policy?
The full payment for the room is due upon arrival at the resort. Although
we accept all major credit card we definitely prefer cash of travelers checks
(ask for your discount if you pay cash...). Sorry no refunds.
