Cabarete Cabarete is a tropical paradise!@ It's a sweet vacation center with a charming, relaxing ambience and gorgeous fine sandy beach - an ideal setting for having fun playing outdoor sports, or just taking it easy and enjoying the pleasure of sun, sea and sand. This small, laid-back Caribbean Village is located just 20 minutes away from the Puerto Plata International Airport on the north shore of the Dominican Republic. It extends about one kilometer along both side of the raod which passes right alongside the center of a lovely semi-circular beach. Cabarete boasts an international reputation for being a world-class center for the exciting water-sports of windsurfing and kiteboarding. The perfect blending of its surrounding environs forms a beautiful layout and creat an unusual synthesis of outstanding wind and wave conditions. Regular surfers can enjoy the challenge of riding the waves on Encuentro Beach just a couple of miles down the road. It's a great place to casually mingle and meet international travelers from almost every corner of the world. After dark the village also features an exciting nightlife, and many visitors enjoy playing hard and partying late 'til the wee hours in some of its cool beach bars. Some of these regularly host LIVE local bands featuring Rock and/or Reggae. Nor can you ever forget that this is the Land of Merengue - around midnight the disco dance floor is always jam-packed - alterning with salsa, bachata or modern techno-pop music for variety.
