Whale Watching Tours in Samana

"The humpback whales that return to the Dominican Republic each winter to mate and calve begin their long-awaited reappearance in December.  During January through March they circulate between the several breeding areas like humans do in singles bars.  Because 1,500 or more may visit Samana Bay for varying lengths of time, with up to 300 present during the peak period __mid-February, the World Wildlife fund considers it one of the best place to watch whales."
