Aparthotel Caracol Cabarete through its general manager Mr. Roch Labelle and
with the help of different members of the community created in January of this
year the FONDATION CARACOL FOR THE CLEANING OF CABARETE, a non-profit
organization dedicated to cleaning the streets and beaches of Cabarete. Through
weekly interventions groups of two or four persons, dressed in yellow uniform
and armed with garbage bags travel the streets, entrances and beaches of
Cabarete and pick-up papers, bottles, cans, plastics and other debris that were
throne on the floor. “Tourism is the number one industry in Cabarete and the tourists likes to find the place clean and free of garbage.” According to Mr. Roch Labelle, general manager of the Aparthotel Caracol Cabarete, “Cleaning the streets is a way of ensuring that our visitors will enjoy their stay and will keep a good image of Cabarete. The
Foundation Caracol For The Cleaning Of Cabarete is financed exclusively through
private donations and depends entirely on the interest and generosity of
